New Salon Open Date

We are excited to finally share that our new hair home will be open for trade this coming Monday 24th August from 9.00am. For ALL Laners with appointments booked for next week and beyond, you will need to go to our new salon at the Baringa IGA Complex: Shop 5, 1 Edwards Terrace, Baringa 4551.

While we still have a few things left to do over the coming weeks, there is no time like the present and the team have brand new tool trolleys they just can't wait to test out.

Over the coming days, you will receive various forms of communication from us, as we would hate for anyone to go to the wrong place, although it is only 2 minutes away if you accidentally do. It may take us a while to verify on Google again (yes, that old chestnut )!

But a huge THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU to everyone who has helped us get this far, BL 3.0 is the start of something magical. We can just feel it.

Monday Trade

We are at the end of a very busy week at BL, and it’s officially the end of a five day trading week for our little business. From Monday 17 August, we are now open six day’s each week and trading two late nights Sydney and Terine are joining us next week too, and we are so excited for them to get started! We are still trading at the BL warehouse for now, but stay tuned for opening dates of the new hair salon next week, we are almost there.

Join our team - Salon Coordinator

Bondi Lane is growing rapidly, and now it’s time to find us a Queen or King of organisation, so we can continue to thrive, build our brand and exceed our clients expectations.

We are looking for a Salon Coordinator to join us for 25 Hours per week (Tuesday - Saturday) with the view to expand to full time.

About the role: An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated and passionate individual to assist Bondi Lane in the daily smooth running of the salon and to champion all things customer service. This person will be the first point of contact for our valued Laners and responsible for ensuring our high standards of customer service are exceeded.

Core duties:

  • Representing the Bondi Lane brand face-to-face & over the phone and social media

  • Overseeing the smooth day-to-day running of a busy appointment book

  • Ensuring bookings run to an efficient schedule

  • Meeting and greeting clients and preparing refreshments

  • Assisting with retail sales and customer point of sale

  • Maintaining cleanliness of the salon

  • Follow- up courtesy calls and texts

  • Providing a 5 star guest experience

  • Stock management and ordering with Salon Manager

  • Data entry

  • Assist is social media and salon marketing

  • Online sales preparation, packaging and distribution management

Required skills and experience:

  • Customer service & impeccable phone and messaging manner

  • Effective communicator

  • Excellent time management and multi tasking skills

  • Solution oriented

  • Confident & personable

  • Team player attitude

  • Ability to think on your feet and handle challenging situations calmly and effectively

  • You will have a keen eye for fashion and present yourself in a professional manner

  • Be business minded and driven by business results and achieving goals

  • Must be organised and forward thinking

Desired but not essential:

  • Hair dressing or previous salon coordinator experience

  • Experience with Kitomba Software

  • Knowledge of Keune products

  • Experience using social media platforms and the ability to produce content for social media.

Booking Deposit and Cancellation Policy

When you book an appointment with Bondi Lane, we set that time and stylist aside just for you. From February 1 2020, Bondi Lane will be charging a $50 Booking Deposit for all clients at their discretion.

If you cancel with less than 24 hours notice or simply do not show up at all, it impacts on us significantly and inconveniences the many other clients that have been turned away because we were fully booked.

We require a minimum of 24 hours notice if you wish to cancel or re-schedule you appointment.

In order to secure you appointment, we require a $50 deposit to be paid at the time of booking. This $50 is credited towards the cost of your appointment.

The $50 Booking Deposit is non-refundable. This means if you cancel or reschedule your appointment with more than 24 hours notice, we can allocate your Booking Deposit to another appointment date and time, however we are unable to refund.

The deposit may be paid Online on our website or by Credit Card over the phone. and is held against your booking as a credit towards that appointment.

•    If a cancellation is made with more than 24 hours notice, the deposit is forwarded to the new appointment time.

•    If a cancellation is made with less than 24 hours noticed, the deposit is forfeited as a late cancellation fee.

•    If you simply do not show up to a booked appointment, the deposit is forfeited as a no-show fee. Depending on the circumstances, Bondi Lane reserve the right to charge up front in full for booking your future appointment.

•    If a booking is held with a Gift Voucher, and has a late cancellation, $50 of the Gift Voucher value is forfeited.

•    Clients who provide less than 24 hours notice are welcome to send someone else in their place to have the booked service(s) to avoid losing their deposit.

We in turn will reduce your appointment cost by $50 if we need to cancel your appointment with less than 24hrs notice (due to staff illness etc) – After all, it’s only fair that we do for you what we ask you to do for us!

We hope you understand and respect our deposit and cancellation policy.

Our first GHD oracle demo was amazing! Being able to share with our Laners a tool that transforms their curling ability feels like magic ✨

Courtney has almost mastered the oracle in less than 15 minutes and will save her so much time in the years to come. Our GHD demo night is on Wednesday 16th of October and is totally complimentary if you’d like to see how the oracle is used, and even better yet have the chance to try it yourself!

For those of you who we are lucky enough to call clients, will know our current space well. It’s cute, warm and a little place we’ve all come to know and love, but our dreams are bigger than this space can allow us to grow 💫

Bondi Lane is relocating to Aura this September into a Loft Warehouse space🍃 Aura (also known as Baringa), is located just near the Bruce Highway (Caloundra Exit) and is a convenient destination for our clients who visit far and wide, as well as our Caloundra locals 💫

You’ll love all the parking and the refreshed space that will be a multi-use hair salon; four times the size of our current space and will be home to local collaborations, co-working, workshops, events and more! 💃🏼🥂

Stevie loves all colours of the hair rainbow but has a special place in her heart for blondes and natural balayage 👸🏼Stevie officially starts next week and will be available on Thursdays, Friday’s and every second Saturday 💇🏼‍♀️ 

With the team growing we are hoping we can accommodate for more Laner’s which we know has been a bit tricky lately (amazing problem to have)! Thank you for your patience and support, we can’t wait for you to meet Stevie very soon 💁🏼‍♀️
